Earlier, the police had taken Nooruddin into custody, but later released him after interrogation. Officers said this is the first arrest in connection with the incident and more persons are likely to be arrested. Alex City man arrested in ‘revenge porn’ case

  William Morris Whatley II (Source: Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office) TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - An Alexander City man is behind bars after he was arrested in what police call a “revenge porn” case. Alexander City Police Department officers arrested William Morris Whatley II, 30, June 12. Alex City Police Chief Jay Turner said this all stemmed from a domestic violence situation. Police reports show the victim filed a petition for a Protection from Abuse order on May 30 against Whatley, her ex-boyfriend. Subsequently Whatley was charged with third-degree domestic violence charges. Court documents indicate the victim was meeting with an officer about the domestic violence case when she received a message from a friend showing a sexually explicit video. Man is arrested after being accused of posting revenge porn

  A local man was arrested early Sunday morning after he was accused of posting revenge porn online. Around 2 a.m., Paris police officers were sent to the 3500 block of N.E. Loop 286 in regards to a security check. Paris Police Lt. John Berry said when officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Nicholas Brown, who had an outstanding warrant for publishing/threatening to publish intimate material. Berry said the warrant stemmed from an incident that was reported on Jan. 18, 2018, wherein Brown had allegedly posted intimate images of another person online. Source link

Greenville man arrested under ‘revenge porn’ law

  Copyright by WKBN - All rights reserved     GREENVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) - A man from Greenville, Pa. was arrested after police say he sent a nude picture of a woman to her current boyfriend. The incident happened April 10 in Grove City. Charges of unlawful dissemination of intimate material were filed May 7 against 29-year-old David McCarl. Relatively new legislation, commonly known as “revenge porn law,”  bans the dissemination of intimate images and other sexual material with the intent to harass, annoy or alarm a current or former sexual intimate partner. Bond was set in the case at $15,000. McCarl is due back in court July 3. Source link
