  A Mobile man is being charged under Alabama’s new revenge porn law after he allegedly posted naked pictures of his ex-girlfriend on social media. Bryndon Bess, 21, is accused of posting the pictures on social media app Snapchat and refused to stop until the victim spoke to him, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department. The new law, formally known as Distributing Private Images, went into effect one year ago and carries up to a year in jail. Source link

Billy Donnerstag, 49, pleaded guilty on May 15 before federal Judge Madeline Cox Arleo in Newark to conspiracy to commit extortion using threats of force, violence and fear, according to a release from the office of the U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito. Between December 2016 and June 2017, Donnerstag conspired with Joseph P. Martinelli, 64, of Kenvil, to extort the developer, who was not named in the indictment against Donnerstag and only identified as being located in Middlesex County. Man enters plea in revenge porn case

  A New Richmond man has entered a plea in a revenge porn case. Wyoming County Prosecutor Mike Cochrane said it is the first case in the county under the new statute, which became law last year. Timothy McNulty, 47, pleaded no contest early last week. According to Cochrane, McNulty sent intimate photos of an ex-girlfriend to another person. A first offense is a misdemeanor, Cochrane reported. A second offense is a felony. A first offense carries penalties of a fine of no less than $1,000 and no more than $5,000. There can also be jail time of up to a year. While referred to as “revenge porn,” the prosecutor said the statute is actually called “non-consensual disclosure of private, intimate images.” McNulty was charged in November 2017. Lt. Man blackmailed ex into talking to him by posting nudes: cops

  An Alabama man was busted in a revenge porn scheme on social media involving his ex-girlfriend, authorities said. Bryndon Bess, 21, allegedly posted nude photos of his ex on Snapchat and threatened to continue posting until she talked to him, news station WKRG reported. Bess, who is from Mobile, was arrested Sunday on charges for distributing private images. If convicted, the jilted ex faces up to a year behind bars. Source link

Man is arrested after being accused of posting revenge porn

  A local man was arrested early Sunday morning after he was accused of posting revenge porn online. Around 2 a.m., Paris police officers were sent to the 3500 block of N.E. Loop 286 in regards to a security check. Paris Police Lt. John Berry said when officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Nicholas Brown, who had an outstanding warrant for publishing/threatening to publish intimate material. Berry said the warrant stemmed from an incident that was reported on Jan. 18, 2018, wherein Brown had allegedly posted intimate images of another person online. Source link

Greenville man arrested under ‘revenge porn’ law

  Copyright by WKBN - All rights reserved     GREENVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) - A man from Greenville, Pa. was arrested after police say he sent a nude picture of a woman to her current boyfriend. The incident happened April 10 in Grove City. Charges of unlawful dissemination of intimate material were filed May 7 against 29-year-old David McCarl. Relatively new legislation, commonly known as “revenge porn law,”  bans the dissemination of intimate images and other sexual material with the intent to harass, annoy or alarm a current or former sexual intimate partner. Bond was set in the case at $15,000. McCarl is due back in court July 3. Source link

Revenge Porn Charges Filed Against Marseilles Man

  A 60-year-old Marseilles man was arrested on revenge porn charges on Wednesday. The LaSalle County Circuit Clerk’s Office said Mike Jakupcak is facing four counts of non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images, all class four felonies. Investigators say Jakupcak disseminated two images of a female on December 21st and of another woman on January 27th and January 31st. The Marseilles Police Department said the images were meant to stay private. Jakupcak remains free on a $750 bond. Source link
