Instances have been recorded in places such as the Makola Shopping Mall and the Kinbu Secondary Technical School.

The guards were allegedly captured on video demanding bribes from the traders in order to set them free.

Sharing the details of the deeds of the city guards on his Facebook page, Anas revealed that the prime mandate of the city guards is to decongest the Accra business centre by clearing traders from the streets and pavements as well as other unauthorized places.

They, however, decided to give themselves the right to impose fines on people who litter the streets.

In other news, YEN.com.gh has learned that some men in Accra have reportedly assaulted a woman with a baby.

This formed part of an investigation carried out by Tiger Eye PI, an investigative agency headed by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Photos that have surfaced online show a group of men surrounding the woman who had a baby at her back.

The woman, identified as Aboloway, was reportedly insulted and threatened with severe beatings if she failed to cooperate with them as they seized goods from hawkers and traders.

Pleas from the woman to them to have mercy on her fell on deaf ears and they consequently packed her goods into the bucket of their pickup.
